Month of Gratitude

I’ve been reflecting more on the good things in our days. Have you noticed how easy it is for conversations to drift toward the negative, what’s stressful, frustrating, or hard? It’s refreshing to meet someone who constantly sees the good in people and in the world. But here’s the thing, it’s not just a personality trait, it’s a practice we can all build.

Your brain has something called the RAS (Reticular Activating System) — basically your mental filter. Whatever you focus on, you’ll start noticing more of. So if you wake up looking for the good, you’ll begin to see it everywhere. Think about what you want more in your life and be surprised when your mind starts to see that in other places!

This November, let’s be intentional about what we’re filtering in. Let’s look for the small joys….the warm coffee, the kind smile, the quiet moments. Together we can train our brains to see abundance instead of lack.

The impact of practicing gratitude?

🧠 Less stress

😴 Better sleep

💛 Improved mood

🌿 A more satisfied life + stronger relationships

💪 Even boosted immunity and lower inflammation

This is incredible, right? And totally possible for all of us with just one grateful thought at a time.

Try this practice:

Each morning, before grabbing your phone, list three things you’re thankful for.

Or each night, write down three “good things” that happened that day.

If you are looking for a little reminder, try the app Grateful: A Gratitude Journal. It is simple, free, and sends gentle nudges to stay consistent.
